There is a lot of freedom around believers these days. The grace message will either pull you to a clean life out of admiration and thankfulness or give freedom to others to do whatever their sinful nature requires. John makes a clear point when he places attention on God’s goal!
1 John 3:5-8 – You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
He appeared to take sins away! Returning to sin after salvation is the wrong response.
There is a coear message that is made by John tht REAL salvation leads us away from a practice of sinning. We do not KEEP ON SINNING, after the knowledge of sin. This is to me personally the clear proof of rebirth. Those who have been reborn…………. Desire to get out of sins. They fight their sinful nature and desire holiness.
What are the sins you are struggling with? Have you lost hope that you can be delivered?
Today I want to say………… Christ came in order to take away sins, not to cover them up, but to completely remove!
