If living by faith has no direct relevance to our physical needs. What does it refer to?
For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.”Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.” But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.
Let me give this to you simply. If you do the law you must play by it’s rules. Example : if you play rugby you must play by it’s rules. You can’t dribble the ball and circle around your opponent. They will blow the whistle on you.
If you then decide to live by the law you must do everything required by it.
If you then decide to live by faith you must do everything required by it.
If you live by the law, every law must be followed to grant you righteousness (being right before God).
If you live by faith, relying fully on God (and nothing else) will produce righteousness.
Decide to judge yourself, no longer by what you do right, but rather by how many things you accept by faith. Have faith brothers and sisters. Enough to live by.
