As believers we have enough sermons on grace. The fact that we are saved by grace through faith is a clear cut message. Following the law, or in other words…… Attempting to please God through following the law should never be a consideration. Trying to be without mistakes is a snare that will catch you every time.
If we shouldn’t follow the law, what should we do? The answer is simple, and that is what we will take a look at, this week.
Hebrews 13:15-18 – Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.
There are two ways to live a life as a Christian. Continually attempting to be BETTER or living a life of thanks because Christ made me WHOLE. The one believer do not believe the complete work was done by Christ, and He is still trying to reach the standard acceptable to God. The other live a life of THANKFULLNESS and CELEBRATION for what was already done.
Hebrews paints this picture when He says. We offer sacrifices of praise to God. People who live under the law rarely like doing that. They either try to prove that their worship is Good enough or feel they are not worthy to do this?
How is your praise? Let the words of your mouth Declare the greatness of God……. Today!
