So many times in my ministry time I have heard the relentless desire of believers to live out their gifts and passions for God
Many endless books is written about this topic, but it remains a proverbial bottomless pit.
What is your gifts?
What is your dreams?
What is your purpose?
Try as you might, these things leads to only one end – YOU and your passions.
It rarely if ever ends with HIM.
The greatest men in History, specifically men have come to be known for their gifts, passions and dreams.
Yet, none of them were seeking for their gifts, passions or purpose.
They were seeking after God!
These men of God did not come to their gifts and strengths through their focus of what fitted to them.
They pledged allegiance to the God od the universe to pay a price higher than they could ever pay.
As they gave themselves to HIS Service they fell into impossible tasks, they could not have only overcame by the release of these gifts.
As they sold themselves to the partnership of the Holy Spirit he partnered with them through the work of miracles.
As they sold their passions, their dreams and their comfort for HIS partnership (in obedience), he gave them purpose.
It does not work the other way arround!
You find purpose, passion, gifts, miracles and a legacy IN OBEDIENCE to HIM.
As you serve HIS people, you find yourself.
Christ did not seek what fitted his purpose or personality
David did not see what fitted his gifts, he took on the challenge with what he had.
Paul did not choose prison because it was part of his personality or because he felt comfortable there. Prison was his reward for obedience and in prison God demonstrated miracles.
