This has been one unbelievable year. When we started off this year, I had no idea that things would turn out this way. God seems to know how to fulfil His promises in different ways than you can ever imagine.
Some fantastic things happened:
We started a Church service in Evander for the security guards of Omega. We had a group of people give their lives to Christ. We Baptised 2 people and there are about 6 others that need to be baptised. The Church is doing well and we have been able (through the Gideon’s) to give out about 30 Bibles to new believers.
We baptised more people this past year than any other year of ministry. People dedicated their lives to God and took the step of obedience to lay down their lives before Him. This has been an awesome experience.
BTM had great outreaches to our own community. We reached out to the people living at the rubbish dumps. We helped out some of the families in our Church and we had a Christmas party for the Children at the Janel home of protection. Our FIRST street evangelism was also a great headline in my life. We actually confronted people with the good news on street level. We prayed with many people, and so e gave their lives to Christ. This was one of our toughest outreaches, but we did great. Through all the rejection and negative comments, some received a good message. Others were encouraged. We contacted many believers and unbelievers but above all, the kingdom of satan was shaken. Nowhere is safe for him anymore.
We continued our FACELIFT project and upgraded our children’s area in the church. They now have a soundproof room with their own sound. The carpets was a great upgrade last year, but we really enjoyed them this year, and the church was not as cold as the previous years.
Sparkys were the new name forbthe kiddies ministry that started up this year. The kids enjoyed a new book and presentation of messages specifically for them. Storm in a bottle is probably what most will remember. The new logo represented a new line of kids that will shape our future.
Special services were held Past. Sadi and his wife ministered to us in the new year and did some practical training on Evangelism. Past Joel from Zambia ministered to us with a very specific in-season message. For our Mothers day, we had the Business women of the year as a speaker. Elsebie Moore spoke to us and we gave out a nice Mothersdy gift to remind our mothers of the message.
Our family camp must have been the high point of our year! We enjoyed a lovely time together. We had great weather and the campers enjoyed late hours next to the fire and in the kitchen, off-course. Pool action both on the table and in the water was great. The people made the camp great.
Harvesters team challenge was also launched and more than 28 people commited in 1 month to become Harvesters for the Kingdom. Each one stood before God, dedicating themselves to the priority of the Kingdom. This is only the beginning of a great movement.
Obviously we had powerful services with awesome worship sessions, strong prophetic word, encouragement among believers, practical sermons and more than that, prayer for each other. We heard many testimonies of how God spoke through Fellow believers and how we have encouraged one another.
You see, there was so much to be thankful for. God has been and will always be The Great God using his church and fulfilling His promises. I must admit that at some stage this year I felt like “nothing was happening” but obviously it was satan with a spirit of depression. It is amazing how fast That spirit will flee if we take time to remember what God has done.
Let this be your encouragement. Never let your emotions tell you how good God is. Look at what He has done and not what you could not do!
A genuine and heartfelt
to every single person that was part of the success for 2012 at BTM. God uses anyone who will make himself available. Everything you did to help our ministry makes you part of this team.
The following special thanks needs to be mentioned.
