Resist is mostly used to describe a reaction we should show against things we love. We are taught by physical life that we fight the enemy and resist temptation. Why should we rather resist the enemy than fight him? Resist means : to withstand, strive against, or oppose: to resist infection; to resist temptation. Fight means : to engage with weapons into battle. The one is built on a relationship. It takes time and energy to fight. The other is built on not allowing the influence of it.
Satan has been defeated! We don’t have to win him again. The most powerful weapon satan has is his influence in our lives, isn’t it? He deceives, lies, steals from us! Most of what he does has got to do with influence! Don’t spend time talking to him, listening to him, fighting him.
1 Peter 5:8-9
Be sober- minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
Don’t believe his lies. Don’t fall for it! It is more possible than he says to tell people about JESUS. You can pray and God hears you. You can lay hands on the sick and the WILL recover. You will find a great man. Your time for victory IS HERE.
I resist you satan, in my house, in our church at my work, but most of all I resist you in my mind. FLEE!
Have a victorious day guys!
