The Rapture of the Church

Before we answer the plain question of whether or not there will be a rapture, we need to set the platform of a few other facts around it. We must understand that the rapture is not a disconnected singular event but rather a small part of a large plan laid out throughout scripture.

There is no way to really undertsand the value or purpose of a piston ring  unless you understand the design and function of the combustion engine. In the same way, it is only possible to understand the rapture and its value within the view of God’s plan.

We will have to answer a few questions before we get to only the rapture. If all these questions are answered, the theology behind the rapture also comes to light. Further, we should understand that the rapture is not a huge theological issue. Whether you believe in it or not, it will happen. Salvation is the critical issue here, as well as, righteousness, baptism of believers, loving God, obeying God and so on. If someone however do not believe in the rapture, they do so because they either don’t have the knowledge or completely disagree with the end time view we have. To get involved in this whole argument, is simply a waste of time. An issue rather left last in the list of a discipleship process. Rather focus on salvation, make sure of that and work progressively through a discipleship plan.

Here is the foundation we will have to be focusing on.

  1. How does the church fit into the complete Bible story?
  2. What is the Purpose of the Grace dispensation?
  3. When, biblically does this despensation end?
  4. What is the purpouse of the rapture?
  5. When will the rapture take place?
  6. How will the rapture take place?
