Jesus is settling down, just after a tough day. He suddenly gets upset and shares the problem with the disciples.
John 13:21 – After saying these things, Jesus was troubled in his spirit, and testified, “Truly, truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.”
The next move was crucial. The disciples are concerned with only one question – WHO will do it? Look at how Jesus answer the question.
John 13:26-27 – Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I will give this morsel of bread when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. Then after he had taken the morsel, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, “What you are going to do, do quickly.”
The most fascinating part for me has 2 legs. Firstly, even though Jesus is upset about what Judas will do, he tells him to go and do it quickly. Don’t delay! Finish the Job. Through the eyes of Jesus it did not matter if Judas was going to do something BAD (filled with SATAN). Jesus encourages, even commands him to get it done. Any task to do, needs to be done asap.
Secondly, he did not call him back to leave the money that was in all fairness those of the disciples. He funds his quest!
Through the eyes of Jesus, anything done for us or against is is important. He never fought against His nemesis! He encouraged him. All the people in our lives with all the things to be done is important. Through the eyes of Jesus, everything will be GOOD! Just get it done.
What do you have to do?
What will people do around you?
