Truth is honest. A Real representation. No disguise. No falseness.
If we want to see Christianity work, without forcing it, we have to engage the full power by which it works. Putting up a show by our human attempts to be better off than non-believers is not walking in truth. If our Christian faith is true, and we walk in the work of Christ, in us, then we have to walk like He did.
Ephesians 5:1-2 – Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Imitating God, not like Zombies or robots, but like Children. There is a power in being like a child. They imitate their parents because it is the only trusted influence they have. Nothing else pollutes their minds. The are a true representation of their parents in many ways.
The whole family came to visit a young family once. After sitting around the table Mother asks her son to say grace. He asks her, how should I pray? She replies : just say what mommy would have said. Dear God, what in the world made me invite all these people…… Is what he prayed.
God wants us to catch one thing from him and that is how much he loves everyone, even those who do not deserve it. Can you imitate that. Why could we not? Let’s give ourselves for a lost and hopeless world. That the world could see a Christ they might have missed.
