I watched a short story once, where they made everyone tell the truth, or rather, if they lied a beeper would go off. It is fascinating how they focussed on people lying because they love you. Your food is bad but it is rude to say “i did not like it”.
There is some truth to that, and we call it kindness.
The perfect show of love, is that we tell the truth, not the other way around. The biggest problem, is not that telling the truth will hurt, but believing your perception is crooked. If you can just look at things from a biblical perspective, your reality might just fade into you missing the whole point. The food might be bad, but it is better than yours, it might be bad, but compared to your pride it is the least of your problems.
Ephesians 4:25 – Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
Take a look at the life around you. Start your honesty with God. You can not hurt His feelings and He is not offended by you! You will be amazed when you think speak out your realities, how God can show you the truth behind it.
Start today by telling God the truth, and your walk of truth will start.
Oh how we love to hide things from our neighbors.
